Seaglass (2022)
Fading details of a seaside town (Hastings) form fragments of memory that slowly dissolve against the endless repetition of salt air and blue-green sea. Documenting the details of rust and decay, the seafront bleeds into washed-out backstreets and cavernous homes to seagulls, scaffolding and Victorian architecture. These ornate manifestations take the form of proud British symbolism and are often covered in colourful graffiti. Some of the illicit text exists in hidden corners and outlasts the more prominent, but all are eventually bleached out by tide or local council.
